Internet Marketing Conference & Clint Sanderson

Yesterday I received an invitation to a free "Internet Marketing Conference" being held in a city near me. Besides the conference, I was being offered a free meal and a free business organizer/planner. It looked interesting but didn't say a lot about what the conference would cover, except earning an income online. Since I already do that, I decided to dig a little deeper and see if I could figure out what they were selling. Let's get real, they wouldn't host a free dinner and seminar if they didn't have something they want you to buy, right? So I pulled up my trusty Google search box and got busy.

The information they sent in the mail had no company name and no website address. I tried searching on "Internet Marketing Conference" and didn't find much.

Finally I decided to search on the Vice President's name, Clint Sanderson. Bingo! Unfortunately, what I found was not good.

Turns out this conference is hosted by a company called storesonline.com, with a parent company of Imergent. What they appear to be selling is an internet store package that costs $5,995.00. Which would be fine if I wanted to have an internet store. Except that according to all the reports I found about them, they are scamming people and not sticking to their agreements with people who buy into this program. They are apparently being investigated by the FTC, and banned from doing business in several states.

I found all this information on RipoffReport.com. They have more than 300 complaints about storesonline.com and Imergent. You can see a few of the reports at the links below.

So, if you receive an invitation to this "Internet Marketing Conference," you might ask yourself if a meal and a planner is worth $5,995.00.
